MOE just unveiled details of the upcoming Mother Tongue Languages Symposium 2024 (MTLS).

The event will take place on 14 September 2024 at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This marks the 13th year of the annual symposium.

The theme for this year is “Our Mother Tongues as Living Languages”.

The symposium aims to encourage children to use their Mother Tongue in real-life settings.

Singaporean artiste Fann Wong will share tips on nurturing language skills at home.

Hafeez Glamour, a Mediacorp DJ and writer, will talk about using stories, songs, and games for language learning.

Host and content creator S P Ravi Gunan will focus on integrating Tamil into daily activities.

MOE curriculum specialists and teachers will share about the Mother Tongue language curriculum.
