    Energy Prices on the Rise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    From 1 July to 30 September marks a period of big concern as The Straits Times<\/a> details an increase in power tariffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Starting 1 July, electricity bills will see an increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For a typical family in a four-room flat, expect to pay about 35 cents more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This increase stems from a 0.3% increase in the electricity tariff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Before tax, the new rate is 29.88 cents per kilowatt-hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    At the same time, gas tariffs are set for a rise due to increasing energy costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Each unit will cost 0.03 cents more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
