Jump the Jam: Take the Ferry to Johor

So like, there’s this ferry service called Batam Fast that sails from Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to Tanjung Pengelih in Johor, right?

The ferry operates from Friday to Saturday, and it’ll only take you about 45 minutes.

Not bad, right?

But don’t forget, the return ferry operates on different schedules, so you better plan your trip well!

Gotcha – No Grab!

Now don’t go expecting Grab to help you out when you get there.

TikToker munzpewspew mentioned that they booked a private car for their Pangerang trip since there’s no Grab.

I mean, getting a private car is a bit more luxurious, but RM100 (approximately S$29) for three places and back to the ferry terminal isn’t too bad.

Why Not the KTM Train or Bus?

Some people might still find the ferry ride a bit troublesome.

They’d rather take the KTM train from Woodlands for just S$5 per trip or buses from various locations like the Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange or Kranji MRT station.

I mean, it’s a decent alternative, but everybody has their preferred ride, right?

Actionable & Practical Takeaways

  • Check out Batam Fast’s ferry service to Tanjung Pengelih for an alternative route to Johor.
  • Plan your trips around the ferry service schedules to make the most of your trip to Johor.
  • Consider other transportation options like the KTM train from Woodlands or buses from the Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange or Kranji MRT station.

So there you go, Singapore friends!
